(ANSA) - CAIRO, June 19 - The Egyptian Minister of Health Hala Zayed announced that the factories of the Holding Company for Biological Products and Vaccines (Vacsera) have already started producing anti-Covid vaccines in collaboration with the Chinese company Sinovac. The Egyptian Street site writes it today, synthesizing statements made yesterday by Zayed. The minister further stated that Egypt is in the process of producing the first two million doses under the agreement with Sinovac and that it should produce 40 million doses of the same serum by the end of this year.
Zayed added that Egypt is the first country on the African continent to start producing the coronavirus vaccine, thanks to national companies that have played a vital role in the production of vaccines and serums over the past few decades.(HANDLE).
