Veterinarian Dr. James Greenwood (drjgreenwood)

Have you ever wondered if your dog really loves you, at least as much as you love him?

Turns out there are some clear signs that will prove it.

From wagging their tails to jumping, licking and cuddling, dogs express their affection in many different ways.

Dr. James Greenwood, a regular veterinarian at ITV's The Pet Show, spoke to Webbox about the signs that dog owners should pay attention to - and the preferred ways for dogs to be pampered in exchange for their love.

Thanks to these signs you will never doubt your dog Really dedicated to you.

"In dogs it's all about the tail! They can express a whole range of emotions through their tail," Dr. Greenwood said.

First, the whole body movement that starts at the shoulders and moves all the way to the tip of the tail is really their happy dance!

"Second, when the tail blade in the style of rotating the helicopter blades is usually reserved for those who are perceived as particularly important."

Surprisingly, Dr. Greenwood says that dogs rarely enjoy being cuddled. If they choose to come and cuddle with you on their own terms - they will probably see you as a trusted family member

. They may also bark or bring you a toy - it is a real signal that they are happy to see you, "added Dr. Greenwood.

And what is the best way to return love?

Dr. Greenwood adds: “A day trip is essential.

Dogs love to use their senses to smell and explore and need to burn calories in exercise.

I would also suggest setting up an obstacle course or using food games to get them thinking and solving problems.

"" Food is also a great thing for dogs and you can use it to your advantage when training, by using treats as a reward for good behavior.

We should also teach our dogs how to be alone - time for themselves, with chewy toys that will keep them busy.

This is the key to their development.

Independence is necessary so that they do not rely too much on their owners or develop dependency problems. "

And what not to do with them?

Although you probably want to shower your puppy with love at every possible minute of the day, it can delay his learning and training.

"Do not always try to show that everything is fine and avoid punitive techniques," said Dr. Greenwood. Him to do something he is not comfortable doing.

Instead, take small steps through positive reinforcement (e.g. with the help of treats) and gradually introduce your pet to the new situation.

Give the dog time to understand that everything is fine. "
