A tragedy was narrowly avoided yesterday, early Friday evening, in the Brussels metro.
According to several Belgian media, it is around 7:45 p.m. when a man voluntarily pushes a woman onto the tracks of Rogier station in the Belgian capital.
The victim ended up on the track as a subway was approaching.
The driver was able to stop the train in time by performing an emergency brake.

The perpetrator fled.
Several people present on the quay intervened to help the victim to go up.
A suspect has been arrested.
"A woman was the victim of a terrible act of cowardice, contrary to the alert response of the metro driver who was able to avoid the worst scenario", reacted the Minister of Mobility of the Brussels region on Twitter .
