Wednesday evening marked the second stage of deconfinement and Parisians were able to enjoy the restaurants and bars open until 11 p.m.

Three weeks after the reopening of terraces, cinemas and museums and specialized shops with reduced gauges, the second stage of deconfinement, with the added bonus of a curfew pushed back to 11 p.m., can finally begin.

Cafes and restaurants can once again accommodate the public indoors, at 50% of their capacity.

On Wednesday evening, Parisians took advantage of the restaurants and cafes, often in groups and on the terrace.

Watched by police officers who patrolled to ensure that all establishments were closed, bar and restaurant owners began to fold up their chairs and tables around 10:20 p.m.

In Paris, the banks of the Seine were evacuated by the police after 11 p.m.
