A man was narrowly saved from the sinking of an engineering vessel off Hong Kong on Saturday July 2.
The thirty crew members were surprised by the arrival of Typhoon Chaba, accompanied by gusts of wind over 140 km/h and waves over 10 meters high.
Three of them were rescued during a helicopter operation.
The other 27 are still missing, probably washed away by the waves before the helicopter arrived.

Southern China is currently affected by Typhoon Chaba, which is causing severe flooding.
The island province of Hainan, where typhoons are common at this time of year, was placed at alert level II, the second highest.
Many people were evacuated from their homes.
Public transport has been suspended and more than 400 flights have been cancelled.
