Vivendi and Mediaset announce an end to their litigation

The French and Italian groups "reached a global agreement putting an end to their differences by waiving all disputes and all complaints between them".


The French group Vivendi and the Italian Mediaset announced on Monday that they had

"reached a global agreement putting an end to their differences by waiving all disputes and all complaints between them"

, according to a joint press release with also the family holding company Berlusconi, Fininvest.

Vivendi, Mediaset's second shareholder, has undertaken to sell all of the 19.19% of Mediaset's capital frozen by Simon Fiduciaria within five years, and will remain a shareholder of the Italian media group at 4.61% . The conflict began in 2016.
