The regulator of the
Vehicle Technical Verification
(VTV) of Buenos Aires reported today that as
of November 1,
the plants that carry out this task will resume the attention to private vehicles located in that district.
With the official decision, which will be published in the next few days, a new schedule was established that will start with the vehicles whose permits had
expired in March and April
and were extended until the end of October by the Buenos Aires government.
The Buenos Aires Undersecretary of Transportation, Alejo Supply, indicated in a statement that it was decided to "reorder the gap that occurred as a result of Covid-19 to avoid the agglomerations that occur at the end of the year in the plants of some cities such as La Plata and Mar del Plata ".
Priority will be given to cars whose certificates had expired first.
The official schedule establishes that in December only the verifications that had expired in May and June will have to go through the plants, while in January the cars whose expiration has been July and August will do so.
"As of November 1, people will be able to enter the VTV website, which will no longer be administered by the companies and the chamber that brings them together and will pass into the hands of the Province. There will be a shift in which Buenos Aires residents will be able to upload their data and those of their vehicle and even if the verification is expired, they will be told how long they can take their turn and when they expire, "said the official.
