This is how KFC's chicken is prepared

The unique seasoning of the poultry at KFC has made this chain very popular in the world and many people have tried to imitate the recipe and the unique taste of their poultry at home, most of them without success.

Even scientists and chemists have worked to decipher the secret behind the addictive taste.

KFC's original recipe is a kept secret that has never been published and several versions of it that have leaked online in recent years have been found to be similar, but not enough.

But a big fan of the chain claims that she managed to reveal one of the great secrets of the special seasoning.

The New Zealand girl uploaded a photo of a bag on the web that says "Colonel Sanders' seasoning bag".

It also says that this bag is used by KFC and its restaurants.

According to what is written on the package, the main spice is... monosodium glutamate (MSG) and together with it herbs, salt and garlic powder are also used.

The girl shared her big "secret" on Facebook and wrote: "It's like salt on crack."

Her revelation created a great commotion and buzz among her followers from New Zealand, who were divided about her revelation.

Monosodium glutamate is one of the most powerful and addictive flavor enhancers.

It consists of monosodium, found among others in soup powders, snacks and other industrial products.

Its main function is to improve the taste of the product, and also to make us consume more and more of the product (as the manufacturers often hope we will probably do).

Regular use of monosodium glutamate may make you enjoy the food more, but it may damage blood vessels and affect health - as monosodium glutamate has gained a dubious reputation in recent years.

This is due to the fact that it contributes to high blood pressure, headaches, etc. However, in a recently published study, researchers from Japan found that monosodium glutamate may improve the memory function of dementia patients.

Regardless, people have mixed opinions about its use.

While one person wrote, "Ugh, no wonder I always feel sick after eating there," there were others who defended the use of MSG.

In a similar debate that took place on Twitter a while back, one commenter wrote: "You know? MSG got a bad name for no reason. I checked out the real science...then bought some and never looked back! This is so amazing. MSG is not bad for you And you should totally use it, bro!"

Another user reinforced it, "I know, East Asians use MSG in their food every day. They have no problem."

According to the Daily Mail's report, KFC's official website confirmed that they do use MSG.

"Some of our food does contain monosodium glutamate, but rest assured that it is at safe levels for the general population," it says, "it is a well-known flavor enhancer that also appears naturally in foods such as meat, fish, milk, vegetables, fruits and cheeses, clarifying on the net..
