The MTR announced at around 7:15 that due to a train failure on the West Rail Line, there will be an additional 10 to 15 minutes of travel time. Passengers are requested to allow sufficient time.
After the incident occurred at Austin Station, the faulty train has been removed from the main traffic lane after the engineering personnel have dealt with it, and the West Rail Line service gradually returned to normal before 8 o'clock.
The train broke down at platform 2 of Austin Station on the West Rail Line, and another car had to push it away from the platform.
During the period, the West Rail Line runs between Tuen Mun and Nam Cheong Stations every 8 minutes; and between Tuen Mun and Hung Hom Stations runs every 16 minutes.
At 7:57, the MTR announced that the faulty train had been removed from the main lane and the service gradually returned to normal.

The Guanjingshan Tunnel is temporarily closed to Zhuhai

The Guanjingshan Tunnel towards Zhuhai will be temporarily closed and all vehicles will be forbidden to enter. The tunnel towards Hong Kong will implement single-tube and two-way traffic.
