The focus is on talks about industrial transformation, as the State Chancellery announced on Sunday.
Portugal is the partner country of the next Hanover Fair this coming spring.
With around 140 exhibitors, the state wants to present industrial solutions, particularly on IT and software topics, as well as from the renewable energies sector.
Hanover / Lisbon - Weil is accompanied on his trip by a business delegation, including the CEO of Deutsche Messe, Jochen Köckler.
The trip ends on Tuesday.
Weil said that a profound industrial transformation was taking place across Europe.
“In the future, companies will work more sustainably and digitally.
In many places, innovative solutions for the urgently needed stronger focus on environmental and climate protection as well as new digitization strategies are being developed - also in Portugal. ”He is looking forward to the exchange on these topics.
