WhatsApp is developing a new option, known as "approving new users", which will allow group administrators to manually decide who can join the group - according to a new report on the WABetaInfo website, which follows the developments and innovations in the beta versions of the application.
According to a screenshot published on WABetaInfo and taken from the latest beta version for Android, the update solves a problem that bothers quite a few users of the world's most popular messaging application: people who join groups automatically, without filtering, through a publicly distributed link.

As you can see, WhatsApp will add a new section to group administrators where they can accept or reject new requests.
As with any feature that is under development, it is not yet known whether it will reach all users down the road - or will remain as an experiment only.
Last week, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and founder of Meta and the owner of WhatsApp, announced innovations in the application. From now on, WhatsApp allows users to leave a group quietly, without leaving a public mark. In addition, the amount of time we have to delete messages we have sent has been extended to 48 hours ( two days).
