The biblical myth about David and Goliath describes an asymmetrical battle between two sides: the weak versus the strong, the just against the evil, the poor versus the arrogant and the sophisticated against the fixer. At the end of the famous battle, the side that is seen as weak, wins because of his boldness and justice. Throughout history, the story of David and Goliath has been an inspiration for generations of warriors and warlords, from Judea Maccabi to the War of Independence and the Six Day War.

The Liberty flotilla to Gaza, better known as the Marmara Flotilla, is the first significant event in which the creators flipped: "The other side" picked up the title of "David". The sling he used for sling to Israel in the middle of the forehead led her to a new and complex campaign. The harsh images of the takeover, the number of people killed and wounded, released the de-legitimization virus into the world. The list of damages includes UN Security Council condemnation, the establishment of international investigative committees that challenged Israel's ability to investigate itself, huge demonstrations in the world capitals, deportation of Israeli diplomats, condemnations of friendship, easing of closure on Gaza when Gilad Shalit is still held, forming a myth "Of Hamas - and no less important and perhaps most significant, an acute crisis in relations with Turkey. 

On the question of how a relatively marginal event managed to drag the State of Israel into a severe inter-state crisis with Turkey, they attempted to answer ten Israeli and international reports that examined in depth legal, ethical, operational and strategic issues. in a research I conducted on the flotilla over the past seven years, was struck by the right to hold dozens of interviews with decision-makers in Israel and Turkey. In many ways, the Marmara flotilla is a breakthrough event, first, it made it clear to Israel that NGOs such as the Free Gaza movement, Greenpeace, WikiLeaks, and even individuals like Edward Snowden, who claim to be weak, can inflict heavy damage on countries in the international arena. The rationale and the rules of the game by which the same players act differently from those under which international law states operate, and third, the social networks and the new media are the "slingshot" used by the new players. 14, the head of the Mossad at the time of the flotilla, the late Meir Dagan, estimated that in the long run, the threat of delegitimization could become a strategic threat to Israel, and we must prepare accordingly. Over a decade after the flotilla, the State of Israel significantly upgraded its capabilities in the "soft war" and its struggle for delegitimization. No longer a defensive mindset, but a rise to attack, incorporating creative doctrines of influence, consciousness, and advanced technology into operational processes that have shown considerable achievement. In this sense, Israel returned to the "mutual" thinking. However, we must assume that in this long campaign, the other side does not rest on laurels and works to develop flotilla mutations.
