There is no sense of history.
30 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, which was supposed to ensure the universal triumph of democracy, democracy is in an unprecedented state of decline in the world.
This is the conclusion that can be drawn from the study "Liberties, the test of the century", an exceptional international survey, carried out in more than 55 countries, directed by Dominique Reynié on the initiative of Fondapol, with the cooperation of several American, German, Japanese, Argentinian and Brazilian international foundations: the International Republican Institute (IRI), Community of Democracies (CoD), Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), Genron NPO, Nuevas Generaciones (NG) and Republica do Amanhã.
