Hendrik Holt sold wind turbines on a large scale that didn't even exist.
Because of this fraud in the millions, the 32-year-old has now been sentenced to a long prison term in a trial before the Osnabrück Regional Court.
The former businessman has been sentenced to seven years and six months in prison after being found guilty.
His 65 year old business partner and co-managing director for seven years.

Three other defendants were given prison sentences of between three years and three years and seven months for being an accessory.
The judgment is not yet final, an appeal can be filed.
However, the chamber saw it as proven that the five accused defrauded three foreign state-owned energy companies of around ten million euros through gangs and businesses.
The gang had forged documents that had led customers to believe that there were wind farms in Lower Saxony.
The young entrepreneur from Emsland had repeatedly sought publicity and proximity to politicians with his company.
For example, he sponsored the Munich Security Conference.

According to the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, the regional court's verdict fell short of the sentence of eight years and five months imprisonment requested by the public prosecutor's office.
In the process, all of the accused had admitted that they had deceived large energy companies.
