After my injury in spring & the past two months in snow training, I noticed that I was no longer able to achieve my absolute top level.

From an early age it has always been my aspiration & incentive to race victories & to inspire you on the slopes.

Since I now have the feeling that I can no longer do justice to this, this is a very difficult decision, but for me it is inevitable.

With the memory of my last race weekend in Garmisch & the victory on the downhill, it is a great time to leave the winter sports stage.

I would like to thank my family, friends & fans as well as @dsv_alpin with all trainers, supervisors & my partners for the wonderful time & the years of support.

My thanks also go to my fellow skiers & all the people I have met in the World Cup in recent years.
