After his EM collapse, Christian Eriksen is ready to return to the big football stage.

FC Bayern is said to be interested in the Dane.

Odense - Few thoughts were wasted on a possible comeback when Christian Eriksen collapsed on June 12th during the European Championship match between Denmark and Finland*.

One message ultimately stood above all: the Danish playmaker escaped death.

But a good six months later, Eriksen actually wants to attack again.

His big goal: The World Cup in Qatar*.

He is now equipped with a defibrillator, but he had to cancel his contract with Inter Milan because it is forbidden to play with one in the Italian Serie A*.

For some time he has been keeping fit at his youth club Odense BK and is looking for a new club.

Christian Eriksen aims for World Cup in Qatar: "I want to play"

“My goal is to be at the World Cup in Qatar.

I want to play,” announced the 29-year-old in an interview with Danish Radio (DR).

Certainly not an easy task, because he needs match practice at the top level.

He is also aware of that.

"It's a Dream.

Whether I'll be nominated is another matter.

But it's my dream to come back.”

Eriksen is convinced that his heart is no obstacle.

He had written off his career when he was taken to the hospital by the paramedics who saved his life after suffering cardiac arrest.

“In the ambulance I thought: keep my shoes.

It's over.

I won't play football anymore," he recalls.

FC Bayern: Christian Eriksen before a professional comeback in Munich?

One thing is clear now: Eriksen needs match practice for a comeback, and at the highest possible level.

His ex-clubs Ajax Amsterdam and Tottenham Hotspur* are possible candidates, and rumors have it that AS Monaco has already put out its feelers.

Tottenham coach Antonio Conte offered him training: "The door is always open for him."

Mads Junker, football expert at the Danish broadcaster TV2, brings three other clubs into play.

In addition to Manchester United and Paris St. Germain, he also has FC Bayern* on the list as a possible buyer.

He sees room for Eriksen in central midfield, where Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich have little competition.

However, it is not very likely that Munich will become active here and try to get Eriksen.

"For the first time in my life" the Dane is currently unemployed.

If he continues to work on his fitness, the World Cup dream could still come true.
