Zell am Ziller – Shortly before the pros from SV Werder Bremen return home to their loved ones, there is another tough test to be had.
At the end of the Zillertal training camp, the newly promoted Bundesliga team will face Besiktas Istanbul on Saturday (4 p.m., DeichStube live ticker) at Innsbruck's Tivoli Stadium.
The traditional Turkish club finished last season in sixth place in the Süper Lig and is now coached by ex-Bremer Valerien Ismael.
Meanwhile, Werder Bremen
's head coach
Ole Werner
has a clear idea of what he wants to see when the match against
Besiktas Istanbul
kicks off at 4 p.m. (DeichStube

).
Werder Bremen friendly against Besiktas Istanbul: "Keep up the pace against a really strong opponent for 90 minutes"
"With
Besiktas
, a real
endurance test
awaits us at the end of the training camp," explained Werner.
"For us it's about increasing the pace of the game again so that we can keep up the pace even against a really strong opponent for 90 minutes.
We also want to make the tactical processes that we have been working on in the past few days more visible than last time against Karlsruher SC.”
Werder Bremen
defeated the second division team 2-1 last Sunday, with newcomer Oliver Burke scoring twice.
New signing Jens Stage will also wear the SV Werder Bremen
jersey for the first time against the Bosphorus team
.
According to the club, the Dane should only play a maximum of 30 minutes, as he still had minor injury problems at FC Copenhagen at the end of last season and should not be exposed to full pressure immediately.
Otherwise there are no personal restrictions, Eren Dinkci (calf) and Nicolai Rapp (knee) are also
fully available again for the
friendly
against
Besiktas Istanbul .
The game will be broadcast on free TV on ServusTV, and there is a
