The local council in the town of Al-Adiliya, in the Damascus countryside governorate, started implementing two box-shaped ferries on one of the streams of the Awaj River at the entrance to the village of Khirbet Al-Shayab, at a cost of one hundred million Syrian pounds from the governorate’s independent budget.
The head of the local council in the town of Al-Adiliya, Ahmed Al-Mujbil Bayn, told SANA reporter that the purpose of creating the two ferries is to collect rainwater, and use it to irrigate the agricultural lands of the village, pointing out that the length of one ferry is 22 meters, its width is one and a quarter meters, and its height is one meter, and it can Accumulation of large amounts of water.
Al-Mujbil stated that the concrete floor of the two ferries was created to prevent water leakage, and it will be completed soon.
