No selection has won as many different trophies as France, including among young people. Globally, only Brazil can

The French Football Federation (FFF) trophy cabinet is getting a little bigger.

Sunday evening, the French team won the second edition of the League of Nations, beating Spain in the final (2-1) with goals from Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé.

And as notified by the Spanish statistician MisterChip, well known on social networks, the French selection becomes the first in history to win all the titles achievable in Europe, including in the youth categories.

Reigning world champions, the Blues have two stars on the jersey for the 1998 and 2018 Worlds. They have also won the Euro twice (1984, 2000) but also the Olympic gold medal (1984) as well as twice the Confederations Cup (2001, 2003).

Among seniors, the League of Nations (2021) is therefore the little novelty.

But that's not all. At the world level, France has won two other titles: in the under-20s with Paul Pogba (2013) and in the under-17s with Florent Sinama-Pongolle (2001). Finally, on European soil, the FFF can boast of having pocketed the Under-21 Euro (1988), the Under-19 Euro (8 times) and the Under-17 Euro ( 2004, 2015).

On the Old Continent, the Blues have no equivalent.

In the world of football, only Brazil has such a comprehensive track record and, what is more, much more extensive.

The selection of Pelé, Zico or Ronaldo has won everything: World Cup (five times), Confederations Cup (4 times), Olympic Games (two times), Copa America (9 times), Pan American Games (4 times), World Cup U20 (5 times), World Cup U17 (4 times), Copa America U20 (11 times) and Copa America U17 (12 times).

Finally, Argentina is getting closer to such a record but it lacks a world title in the under-17s.
