Special envoy to Venice
At the exit of the totally empty Santa Lucia station, only light dances on the Grand Canal. However, on the Lista di Spagna in the Cannaregio, one would almost feel in a scene of ordinary life if everyone did not wear a mask: families do their shopping happily, well-dressed people walk with a determined step, and some seniors have coffee in the sun. In this street of a residential district of Venice, there are certainly some lowered iron curtains, many closed trattorias, some shops which display "cedesi attività" . But the sweet sound of life is back.

Arrival in the San Marco district, stupor. At the heart of the tourist sanctuary, there is no hotel, restaurant or bar open, and not the slightest passer-by who strolls.
