The National Institute of Statistics (Insee) and the National Institute for Demographic Studies (INED) unveiled, on Tuesday July 5, the first results of a major survey on the diversity of the population in mainland France.
This second part of the “Trajectories and Origins” survey, conducted among 27,000 people in 2019 and 2020, highlights how origin, gender or religious affiliation affect the people concerned.
This second part reveals that the sexist ground is the main source of discrimination for women.
One in four women surveyed felt that they had been discriminated against because of their sex, compared to 28% in 2008-2009.
