A great opening for Shahar Reshef, who is leading the European IQ Foil Championship, which opened today (Tuesday) at Lake Garda in Italy.
Reshef started the day of the cruises not well, with only 11th place, but then put up gear and won the next three cruises.
She now leads with 3 negative points.
The rest of Shahar Tzobari's team also performed well, with Shahar Tibi finishing the day in seventh place, Maya Morris in 12th place and Daniela Peleg 17. The Israeli team is one of the biggest in the competition, with nine surfers, out of over a hundred competitors.
"I had a great day," Reshef said as soon as she got out of the water.
"It's fun to start the competition like this and I hope I can continue like this."
In the men’s end, Yoav Omar placed 14th, with a victory in the first cruise, and then in 5,5,9 places.
In the next four days there will be full competition days and then the medal cruises.
