For several hours, the firefighters have been working to rescue a worker who has fallen into a construction site where he was carrying out renovations.
The accident occurred around noon in via Innocenzo XI, at street number 42, in the Aurelio district in Rome.
The carabinieri are also present on the spot.
On the basis of an initial reconstruction, the floor of the room that was hosting renovation works would have collapsed due to causes still to be clarified.
The worker would have fallen for about six meters.
