The primacy of the late poet Dr. Ali Al-Nasser in modernity and his passion for poetic image, narration and lyricism were the most important topics addressed by the participants on the second day of the Omar Abu Risha Festival, which devoted its session this year to talking about the poet Al-Nasser.
The festival, which concluded today at the Tishreen Art Gallery, comes according to Jaber Al-Sajour, director of culture in Aleppo, with the participation of a group of writers and university professors, to shed light on one of the most important poets in the city of Aleppo and to provide readings about his literary productions.
Poet and playwright Duha Assaf presented a reading of Dr. Nasser's poetry, pointing out the importance of the poetic image in his writings, indicating that his poetry is modern and ahead of its time because it exceeded the activation and drew his own line and had a distinctive imprint in the field of poetry.
While Dr. Amina Al-Hamad presented the narrative in the works of Dr. Al-Nasser from narrative and poetic works, indicating that he relied heavily on narration through the narrative components of characters, time, place, event and narrator, through which he was able to express his criticism of the negatives of society and the impulses of the human soul.
Dr. Ibrahim Kassar, the poet and critic, gave a review on lyricism and renewal in Nasser's poetry, and found that his poems and texts were filled with lyrical, explaining his renewal in poetic rhythms and performance weights.
