The 26-year-old from Tuscany, # 79 WTA, got the better of a match that lasted two hours and 20 minutes and tomorrow she will play for a place in the semifinal with Montenegrin Danka Kovinic, # 78.
The 19-year-old Perugian Matilde Paoletti (366) was instead eliminated.
She opposed the Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu (n.33) she lost in two sets with a double 6-4.
