A fatal traffic accident occurred in Yau Ma Tei.

At about 4 am today (14th), a yellow Ford Mustang 5.0 (Ford Mustang 5.0) sports car was reported to be driving along Nathan Road towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When it reached the junction of Butterworth Street, it collided with a garbage truck suspected of tangent. .

The Mustang sports car shook to the right side of the garbage truck and immediately lost control. After rushing forward about 60 meters, it shoveled on the left sidewalk, smashed a bus stop sign, and then rammed into the door step of an HSBC wealth management center.

About two meters of stairs and a glass door of HSBC were damaged.

The sports car then rebounded across the road.

Upon seeing this, a passer-by found that neither the male driver nor the passenger on the vehicle responded and immediately reported the incident.

The firefighter arrived at the scene and rescued the 31-year-old driver of the private car surnamed Zhou Nan and the passenger of the same age surnamed Lin Nan.

The male driver was conscious of head injury. The passenger had no apparent injuries but was in a coma. He was also sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Lin Nan died after being rescued. The police classified him as a fatal car accident and are investigating the cause of the accident, including whether it was involved in drunk driving.
