A traffic accident occurred in Tuen Mun.
At about 4 am today (14th), a taxi carrying 1 male and 2 female passengers was traveling along the Yuen Long Highway towards Tuen Mun. When it approached Fu Tai Village, it slammed the rear of a container truck. The front of the taxi was badly damaged, and the male passenger in the front seat was trapped for a time.
The fire department arrived at the scene and rescued the trapped male passenger. He was sober at the time and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.
In the accident, the other two passengers and the driver of the car were injured, while the driver of the container truck was not injured.
It is understood that the container involved was parked on the side of the road due to the explosion of the left front reel, and the taxi was suspected of not being able to stop it and rammed into the rear of the car.
The male passenger in the front seat was once trapped in the car and was rescued by firefighters and taken to the hospital.
