Despite the fact that from the Government the idea that zero-rate loans for monotributistas and self-employed workers will be available this week was encouraged, the operation is delayed. AFIP sources confirmed that next week the agency will have the system ready for taxpayers to start the process. Validation before the tax entity is the first step to access these loans for up to $ 150,000 that will be received in three installments and will begin to be repaid in 12 installments without interest from October.

With this measure the Government will come to the aid of the monotributistas and self-employed who until now have not received direct help to mitigate the effects of the quarantine.

In the weekend, official sources indicated that the credits would be available from Monday, April 27. But yesterday the operation did not start. From the banking entities they assured that they still could not advance with this process because the AFIP needed to take the necessary steps to make it operational.

From the AFIP they informed Clarín that starting next week - the exact day will not be defined yet -   the monotributistas and self-employed will be able to consult the AFIP website to see if they meet the conditions to access this loan .

Taxpayers must enter the site with their tax code  and click on the "Zero rate credits" tab. There the AFIP will inform them if they can request the credit and what is the maximum amount that they can access. That amount will depend on the category in which the taxpayer is enrolled.

The beneficiary must define what the loan amount is - it may be less than the maximum - and enter the bank password (CBU) and credit card details on the site.

The next step is that the AFIP passes the information to the Central Bank and once the monetary authority validates them, it sends the data to the user's bank. From that moment, the financial institution has 48 hours to credit the money to the credit card.

If the user does not have a credit card, the bank must provide one at no cost.

The AFIP also specified that along with each of the three installments of the loan, the bank will deposit the beneficiary the amount corresponding to the payment of the monotax or the autonomous contribution. But the user will not be able to dispose of this last amount, but the bank will automatically transfer it to the AFIP to fulfill the payment.

Taxpayers who do not yet have a tax code - an essential requirement to start the process - can manage it online through the AFIP website or through home banking. Another alternative is to manage it at an ATM.
