German Alexander Zverev won the Madrid Spanish Championship with the 1,000-point Masters tennis tournament, after defeating Italian Matteo Perettini, two sets to one.
Zverev lost the first set, 7-6, before rebelling and winning in two consecutive sets, 6-4, 6-3, to settle the match within two hours and 40 minutes.
This is the second time that Zverev has won the Madrid title and the fourth in the Masters tournaments in addition to the Canadian and Italian Championships in 2017.
