Israel faces a severe shortage of 50,000 workers alongside the Ministry of Finance's refusal to accept foreign workers. The supply of workers is getting smaller over time, while the demand for cleaning is increasing.

"Today there is no institution or body that does not need cleaning services," says Veronica Rosenberg, CEO of the Organization of Cleaning Companies in Israel. According to the data of the organization of cleaning companies, the shortage of workers in the industry will double in the next five years. "We realized that clean is also healthy and that it is important to put more emphasis on additional areas that need to be cleaned," says Rosenberg on the corona virus. But while the importance of cleaning rose, the Israeli government made one of the biggest mistakes and decided to remove the employees of Halt, Rosenberg says. "What else happened is that as soon as we returned to routine, those workers who were in Halatat did not return to the cleaning industry but turned to the other professions," she says.
