Spring is the strongest period for wine sales, but the owners of the wineries in the north have to deal with rocket fire and a poor national mood. "The feeling is that we are abandoned, that there is no one to back us up," says Meir Biton, owner of Avivim Winery in Moshav Avivim in the Upper Galilee.

"Passover is completely the wine festival. There is a lot of volume in sales around Passover. People buy cases of wine, buy for the holiday dinner," says Dana Sharon, VP of Marketing of Hari Galil Winery.
