Amazon achieved $170 billion in revenue in the fourth quarter, representing growth of 14% year-on-year. The online commerce giant also stood out with a net profit of 10.6 billion, also above Wall Street forecasts, driven by faster deliveries and a particularly successful holiday season.

The U.S. company also posted a record quarterly profit of $1.2 billion, up from $1 billion in the third quarter of last year. The company is expected to report its fourth quarter results on February 14.
