MGCS, the tank of the Franco-German future, is getting out of the rut. It will be developed and produced 50/50 by Germany and France but will not arrive in units until 2040, or even 2045.
The armored vehicle will be offered as an alternative to the Leopard 2 tank, which is currently in production in Germany. But the military will have to be patient before seeing the ultra-modern machine arrive in the units since we are talking about 2040 or 2045 for the first deliveries.
