AT&T admits the leak of personal data of about 73 million customers. The company resets the accounts of some 7.6 million customers whose information had been spread on the 'dark web' The company concluded that specific data fields AT&T uses for its customers' accounts appeared in a data set posted on the dark web about two weeks ago.

“We will separately contact individuals whose sensitive personal information has been compromised and offer them free credit monitoring and identity theft services,” the company says.
