Dave Calhoun, CEO of Boeing, will step down by the end of the year. At the same time, the president and CEO of the company's commercial aircraft division, Stan Dale, will also retire.

Calhoun will be replaced by Steve Mollenkopf, the former CEO of Qualcomm, and will be the second CEO to be replaced in less than four years. In January, a panel broke on Alaska Airlines' 737 Max while there were 171 passengers and crew on board crew, after undergoing maintenance.
