Ski lift staff union at the Orcières Merlette station (Hautes-Alpes) called on Friday for a strike starting on Sunday. The union is demanding an increase in salaries and meal and transport bonuses for staff.
The mobilization is based on a “recognition of failure” at the end of the obligatory annual negotiations (NAO) with the employer of the ski lift staff, Semilom Resort. The director of Semilon Resort Nicolas Colombani assured that he would “do everything possible to ensure that the operation of the resort is maintained”
