Bank of Israel warns that criminal elements impersonate bank representatives and attempt to take fraudulent actions with the aim of fraudulently withdrawing funds from customers. The impersonation is done through various communication channels such as phone calls, sending text messages and sending e-mails.

The bank calls on the public to increase their vigilance and avoid providing personal and confidential details, and even increase awareness among the elderly people around them. Do not provide credit card information or an identification code sent to you at the link you received in a text message or email to complete details.
