Disney shareholders have overwhelmingly supported the vision of CEO Bob Iger. The partners have given the company's top executive a victory against a major challenge.

Activist investor Nelson Peltz and his Trian fund failed in their attempt to win two seats on the board of directors of the company. Disney invested several million dollars in an information campaign to its partners asking not to give votes to Trian candidates. The dispute between Trian and the current Disney board had been described by the American media as the most serious internal dispute in almost 20 years.
