David Frum: The economy is doing well, but Americans are unconcerned about it. He says Americans' views on the economy tend to be determined by political affiliation.

Frum says Republicans and the media are hell-bent on trashing Joe Biden's policies. He argues that Democrats, for their part, are divided, with some speaking negatively about the economy because they fear that acknowledging the good news could undermine the social safety net, which Donald Trump says is “sinking into a cesspool of ruin,” Frum writes. The elephant in the room is partisanship, he says, which is simply not true for Democrats, who are united in trashing Biden's economy, which Trump has called a “cesspool” of “ruins” and “disaster.’” The U.S. economy has grown for 39 consecutive months, and the unemployment rate has been below 4% for 26 months, the longest streak since the 1960s.
