Expedia plans to cut 1,500 jobs worldwide in 2024. Expedia employed 16,500 people as of December 31, 2022 in fifty countries.
The group announced on February 8 an unexpected change of boss effective May 13. Peter Kern, boss since 2020, will nevertheless remain in the group as vice-president of the board of directors after Ariane Gorin takes office.
