On July 1, the bill will increase from 5.5% to 10.4%. The president of the Energy Regulatory Commission declared that this increase was mainly due to the drop in consumption.

Three quarters of the announced increase is a carry-over effect due to vagaries of the previous period, during which costs increased. Over the past four years, “the price has remained stable and has therefore not been able to cover all of the company's costs,” the group explained.
