Google Maps page of Geox Strasbourg has become the scene of a malicious digital raid. Since Thursday, the brand's Google page has been targeted by people calling for the resignation of the manager for refusing to employ a veiled temporary worker.

On the internet, the controversy is not about to die: now on, Internet users are calling for more positive opinions to support the manager who is facing death threats. On June 22, 2022, the Paris Judicial Court also ruled that fraudulent Google reviews call into question “the quality of the services offered, by a company or a professional,” according to a French law firm. The court ordered the author of the fake reviews to pay an injured merchant 1,000 euros for legal costs and damages and 800 euros for damages for legal damage suffered by an injured user in 2012. The company has since regained its rating of 4.1, with 62 reviews, after this Friday, the Geox store had 110 reviews on Google with an average rating of 2.7 out of 5.
