Communications Minister Shlomo Karai spoke to the Israel Post today as part of a debate in the Finance Committee. According to Karai, "nearly 300,000 complaints a year come in about the poor service, hundreds of people stand in line to receive packages" Karai has already acted against the post office twice: once when he announced the imposition of a financial sanction in the amount of 1.175 million shekels, due to damage to public service by closing three branches and violating a direct instruction of Karai not to close postal units.
