The increase in electricity rates in the province of Buenos Aires corresponds to the elimination of national subsidies. In March there would be another increase to remunerate the companies Edelap, Eden, Edes, Edea and Edea.
The increase affects high-income residential users and middle-income users who consume more than 400 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per month. All this is a consequence of the removal of national subsidy to reduce public spending. The companies that operate the service belong to the Desarrollo Energética group (DESA)
