Around a hundred wine growers and around thirty tractors blocked access to the warehouses of Castel Frères near Bordeaux. The demonstrators dumped manure, hay, tires and vine stocks in front of the entrance to the Blanquefort site, considered the largest winery in Europe.

“It’s the entire system that is targeted”, says Vincent Bougès, president of JA in Gironde. The government plans to present a new text of law to “strengthen the Egalim system” which should allow better remuneration for farmers.
