French arms exports are doing well. 94 Rafales sold between 2019 and 2023, an increase in military exports of 47% over the same period, record arms sales to India, Egypt and Qatar.
This places France for the first time in second position in the ranking of arms-selling countries ahead of Russia. With just over 11% of market share, the two states remain quite far from the American leader and its 42% of global exports. The French military industry is experiencing a flourishing period.
