The European economy avoids recession and closes 2023 stagnant. The euro zone barely grew 0.5% throughout last year.

The weakness remains, for now, linked to some of the causes that caused the slowdown brought about by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. And above all this lies the structural need that the European Union—and the entire planet—has to change and decarbonize the economy.
