The General Electric split, symbol of the decline of industrial conglomerates. GE is now split into three companies.
The energy activity, named GE Vernova, took its first steps on the stock market this Tuesday. The name GE Aerospace was adopted by the “aviation’ branch, whose main activity consists of manufacturing aircraft engines. The third former branch of GE operates in health equipment. The company had sales of nearly $32 billion last year and employs 48,000 people worldwide. It achieved 33.2 billion turnover in 2023, and is targeting 34 to 35 billion this year.
