The Dutch cargo bike brand Babboe has been forced to stop the sale of all its bikes in all the countries where they are marketed. The decision follows numerous reports of broken frames and an investigation by the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) This risk should not be taken lightly since it is generally young children who are placed in the crate.

The company did not follow up on these reports or notify the NVWA as required by law,” the authority explains. The world leader in the cargo bike market also had to recall around ten of its models.
