The Government is studying removing the subsidy from those who have a car or motorcycle less than 5 years old. If a person belongs to a medium or low-income household and has a vehicle of these characteristics, they would lose the subsidy.
In this way, in addition to reviewing income, the Government will cross-check data with records of properties, vehicles and other bases. The new basic energy basket should be defined in April and would be launched in May. Energy subsidies should fall this year between 2.5 and 3 billion dollars.
